Formed by heat – hardened by cold
NEFF GmbH supplies 1000 t press for hot forming

At the beginning of 2007 NEFF will deliver a 1000 t production press for CarTec, probably the biggest independent manufacturer of hot forming tools for pressure hardening. In the pressure hardening process, the material is formed by the press while hot and then hardened by the cooled tool. This reduces the metal thickness while improving its strength by up to 1800 Mpa. The new NEFF press is notable for its specially developed high-dynamic speed control system dynamisV ®, and is also suitable for cold forming thanks to an integrated die cushion. With a total weight of approx. 170 to, this is one of the biggest presses built by NEFF to date.
